On 20th March, the inauguration of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) new headquarter at Dhaka was held 

grandly.Presidents of the Union of the International Architects (UIA),   Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), Architects Regional Council of Asia (AR

CASIA) together with near one thousand Bangladesh architects attended the day long program. GANI MARBLE TILES as an outstanding building materials enterprise was invited to attend the event.

该开幕式更有孟加拉总理谢赫•哈西娜（Sheikh Hasina）发表重要讲话，她提到“建筑师应当在基础设施建筑方面，发挥当地的资源优势，迸发出更多的新想法。”

The inauguration was addressed by Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of Bangladesh. She suggested that Bangladesh architects seek cooperation in building 

infrastructures suitable for the country using the local resources, and encouraged architects to come forward with new thinking and ideas of architectural designs.

孟加拉国民议会大厦由现代主义大师、建筑界“诗哲”路易斯•康（Louis I. Kahn）设计建造，是孟加拉国议会所有活动举办地，也是世界上最大的立法机构办公大厦之一，曾誉为“20世纪最伟大的建筑地标之一”。

Designed by Louis I. Kahn, National Assembly Building of Bangladesh is one of the world’s largest office buildings for legislative institution, known as one of the Greatest Architectures in 20 Century.

孟加拉国民议会大厦由9座单独的大厦连成一个整体，其中8个外围建筑高110米，内部一个八角形建筑高155米。康将相对简单的几何语言如圆形、三角形、正方形等直观地融入国民议会厅，通过自然光对这些几何形体进行精细的雕琢之后，呈现出一种别样的美。

National Assembly Building of Bangladesh consists of 9 separate buildings, 8 of which are 110-meter tall and 1 of which is an octangle building with 155-meter height. Protection from the sun and heavy rains and at the same time allow the free circulation of air are achieved by giving the facades at grade geometric openings in the form of triangles, rectangles, circles and arcs.
